Our well versed team will present a webinar for parents to explore both the Spanish and English version of The Everyday Guide to Special Education Law by Randy Chapman. The book explains parents’ rights so that it’s easy to understand.

This book was primarily written from a parent perspective to help parents, students, and advocates better understand the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

​Parents will obtain the following skills:

• Be an informed participant in their child’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
• Be able to understand the IEP and how it should work on behalf of their child
• Be able to understand the terms teachers and providers use at an IEP meeting
• Know their rights
• Share and bond with other parents who understand
